Dates Vary

In this year-long course we will study each aspect of juniper bonsai from growing to styling. Students will pot, clean, taper, trim, wire, and style to learn how to correctly maintain a variety of juniper species. When we hear stories of trees that didn’t make it, it is almost always a juniper. This course is designed to dispel myths, grow healthy trees, and give you the knowledge to advance juniper bonsai without fear. Students are not required to supply their own material; this will be supplied by the nursery to ensure students can work within their abilities and time frame. Trees provided will be in all stages of development; young and old, large, and small. Prior juniper experience is not required and all experience levels are welcome as this course is comprehensive and beneficial to anyone. Dates are based on each stage of a juniper’s development in relation to bonsai and will be communicated in advance.
