During this year-long course, we will study each aspect of pine bonsai from growing to styling. Students will pot, clean, taper, trim, candle prune, needle pluck, wire, and style to learn how to correctly maintain pine bonsai. Let’s face it, there isn’t much available for pines in Florida. We’re pretty much limited to a single variety and our seasons can be tricky. This course is tailored for pine bonsai care in Florida and provides each student with digestible information to help improve their knowledge and understanding. Students are not required to supply their own material; this will be supplied by the nursery to ensure students can work within their abilities and time frame. Trees provided will be in all stages of development; young and old, large, and small. Prior pine experience is not required and all experience levels are welcome as  this course is comprehensive and beneficial to anyone. Each step of this course is done at the appropriate time of year and done the proper way. Dates are based on each stage of a pine’s development in relation to bonsai and will be communicated in advance.
